Here's information on public transit and traffic conditions in the Montreal area :

• The MUCTC's web site is very complete. Not only can you find information on bus routes, Telbus phone numbers and maps of the metro stations surroundings but there's also the Tous Azimuts system which indicated which bus or metro lines to use to go from one point to another by clicking on a map.

• For south-shore commuters, there's the STRSM and the STL for Laval, both in french. The AMT is the organization that oversees public transit in the region of Montreal.

• You can use our carpooling service called moreMontreal ridesharing to offer or request a ride in the greater Montreal region.

• For road conditions and visibility, in winter only, the Ministère des transports du Québec offers a page for the greater Montreal area.

• For information on road repairs, the Ministère also has a page indicating which highway or provincial road is under repair and should be avoided (in french).

• If you want to look at images from cameras pointed at the main highways on the island of Montreal and its surroundings, the Ministère also offers a series of live webcams. These images are used by sites like Traffic Montreal.
